What music genres do your party DJs play?
Our DJs can play anything from 70s and 80s classics through to current chart music, RnB, house, garage, Motown, indie, 90s anthems and everything in between. Most private parties need a broad, mixed playlist to suit different ages and tastes — and this is exactly what we are great at. You tell us your preferences and we build around them.
Can I give the DJ a playlist or must-play list?
Absolutely. We encourage all our clients to share a must-play list and a do-not-play list before the event. We review it, discuss it with your DJ, and use it as the foundation of the evening. You can be as specific or as hands-off as you like — from ten favourite songs to a complete song-by-song brief.
How much space does a DJ setup need?
A standard party DJ setup requires a minimum of 2m x 1m for the DJ booth, plus speaker stands and lighting rigs. We will advise on the ideal setup for your specific venue when you enquire — and we are experienced at working in unusual or compact spaces, including marquees, converted barns and private homes.
Can you play background music during dinner before the dancing?
Yes — many of our party bookings begin with a quieter dinner set before transitioning into a full DJ set when the tables are cleared. We are experienced at reading the room during dinner and making the transition feel natural rather than jarring.
Do you take requests on the night?
Yes — guest requests are usually welcome, and our DJs are skilled at deciding which ones fit the room at any given moment. If there are specific songs you do not want played, let us know in advance and we will make sure they stay off the list regardless of requests.
Are you insured to perform at private parties?
Yes — we carry £10 million public liability insurance and all equipment is fully PAT tested. Many private venue hire spaces and hotel function rooms now require this documentation before confirming entertainment bookings, and we provide it as standard.
