South Asian weddings have specific musical requirements and often longer, more complex timelines. We have experience across Bollywood, Bhangra, Punjabi and fusion sets and can accommodate multiple ceremony transitions within an evening.

Wedding DJ Hire — FAQs
How far in advance should I book my wedding DJ?
As early as possible. Popular summer Saturday dates and Christmas and New Year dates can book out 18 months to 2 years in advance. As soon as you have your date and venue confirmed, we recommend getting in touch. We can hold a provisional date while you are still deciding.
How much does wedding DJ hire cost in London?
Wedding DJ hire with London Event DJs starts from around £600 for an evening reception. Pricing varies based on duration, venue requirements, travel and any add-ons. We provide a fully itemised, transparent quote with no hidden costs. Contact us with your date and venue for an accurate figure.
Can you learn a specific song or version for our first dance?
Yes. If you have a specific version, mashup, edit or build-up in mind for your first dance, we work with you in advance to make sure it is prepared exactly as you want it. We handle everything — you just need to tell us what you are envisioning.
Do you coordinate with our wedding planner and venue coordinator?
Yes — this is standard practice for us. We liaise directly with your wedding planner and venue coordinator ahead of the day to confirm timings, access windows, power, noise restrictions and running order. You do not need to be the go-between.
What happens if there is a technical issue on the day?
We carry full backup equipment on every wedding booking. In the extremely unlikely event of a technical fault, we have redundancy built in from the start so there is no interruption to your entertainment. This is non-negotiable for us on weddings.
Do you provide wedding DJs in Surrey and West Sussex?

Can we request songs on the night?
Yes — within reason and in the context of what is working on the dancefloor. We take requests but our DJs use judgement about timing and flow. If a request will not work in the moment, we hold it until the right moment arrives. The goal is always a full dancefloor, not just a ticked playlist.
Are you insured and do you provide documentation for the venue?
Yes — we carry £10 million public liability insurance and all equipment is fully PAT tested. We are members of the Mobile DJ Network (MDJN). Full insurance certificates and PAT documentation are provided to your venue on request, well in advance of your wedding date.
